Each round (meaning challenges + eviction) we will start a new thread with the title of each episode. After every Eviction, a host will start a new thread asking you more questions. We will be here to help you out, make you think, get you to talk, and really just lend an ear.

We take Diary Rooms seriously because we're genuinely interested in your story. We want to know everything you're thinking and more importantly, what you're feeling. Think of it as free therapy. We will be guiding you along the way and asking you questions, provoking thought and helping you think about things you otherwise might not have. We find that just talking through your situation can help you get a fresh perspective on things.

Beyond that, it's just fun. What's more fun is having a record of what you were thinking at different stages of the game, and being able to look back on that is priceless so take advantage of it!

Here is a practice mini-challenge for you to work on. It is a challenge that might appear once or twice throughout the season in a different form. While it will be easier to do in the actual challenge using a puzzle-builder, this will help you practice reposting images. Image posting is something that will pop up in multiple challenges and is a skill that you should perfect. Please refer to the guide in the Plasma Screen forum for detailed instructions on how to post images.

This particular challenge is a 4x4 16-piece puzzle. You must correctly unscramble the puzzle using the ORIGINAL image links. Meaning, you can't simply rearrange them in a photo editing program. You must use the original images by using the IMG tag. (more information on this in the camp how-to threads.

First things first, if you wanna stan me, if you don't say "I love Dick" then you're not a #truefan.

For real though, I am super HYPED! I've been planning on what to say in my pre-season confessional for a while now, JUST THE PRE-CONFESSIONAL! Because you KNOW I'm going to sit and write essays as I did on Tanzania. There is just so much going on in my head that it's probably going to fuck me over from overthinking, and more than half is probably going to be irrelevant before the first round ends.

So, before I get into what i've been thinking about, let's go over some initial thoughts on the forum. Thank you Poody (or whoever did it) because one, it looks grand, and secondly, it's dark! It's like a default night mode, and we love that! I notice there is a fingerprint on the left corner of the banner on top. You know, I learnt from Michael that all assholes have a unique print to them just like fingerprints do. Not personally, of course, but just by talking. I don't get that private with that pervert.

Oh man, just typing here... it's bringing back so much. I know I made my daily blog posts on Tuamotus lurking, but this time I'm writing and playing, so it really does feel so... gah, it feels great! Although, time for some snooping. You know me, I'm great at looking at every little thing on the forum. I go to look at the member list, click rank, and this is what I see:

This... is a lot, I did not expect that. I thought at the most it would be 18. At the most, again I'll say. I'm still hosting Rematch on the server, so excuse me when I say WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN I HAVE TO TALK WITH 19 OTHER PEOPLE OUT OF THE GATE, YOU GUYS BETTER HAVE SOME TWIST THAT SAVES ME FROM HAVING TO TALK TO LEGIT 19 OTHER PEOPLE FROM THE START, WHAT THE FUCKTASTIC HELL-

Like, our starting tribes on Tanzania was already a lot to handle on the first day. This is something else though. Personally hoping for some inactives the first night. At least, let me do the Rose Ceremony in peace on the server. For my mental sanity and to also hide my alias, haha. So anyway, who do we have here? Shahbaz and James have already made a post. James I think has to be a returnee, because with only one post, they managed to get one like and one dislike. Not to mention, casting is normally good about putting people in the right roles (one of the stronger points of the Strandedverse IMO) so Crazy James' player is probably... crazy. Shahbaz is meanwhile gay as fuck when I see shit like "I Shahbaz Agree on the rainbow flag" on his rules. I mean, Richard is also gay, so I can still play up the gayness with him. If he wants to talk about drag race then I'm out, lol. That's where my gay culture ends.

Now, here's the thing. Most of these reps may or may not relate heavily or not to who they are played by, but I'm more focused on Renny. Renny is the odd one out here, she's the only non BBUK7/BBUS9 rep, but not to mention, Renny played on Isolated 2. I wish I remembered if that was a bad season or something, but I remember it isn't in the dropdown menu for some reason and idk if it is just laziness or not. Renny was a rep that season, so I'm not sure if it is the same rep or not. This is all out of order in a few ways, this whole Renny person being here. I will watch her closely I think. She won't know that I know however.

Anyway, I think that's essentially been my initial reactions to the board so far pre-season. Oh boy, and I still have a LOT to go over, based on pre-board pre-season shenanigans!

~INTERMISSION~

So, where to begin...

Well, I'm Dean. That's what you can call me as since that's what I'm known as in the Strandedverse. When I was recruited for Stranded in Tanzania, I didn't know what it was all about. I was recruited from the Big Brother subreddit. That's my show, that's my shit. When I noticed there was a BB version of Stranded, I wanted in. Even before I played Tanzania. I've had my eyes set on playing Isolated for so long, and if I played Tanzania for experience, and Excursion for fun, then I am playing Espionage for the win. I'm going to take what's mine, and the win is all that I want.

When this season was announced, I was like yeah this is happening. So, I'm here now, and even when you're sure, you can never be 100% sure until it is de jure. I can safely say I'm in the game now as I'm typing now on the board, and wow, it feels amazing, as I imagined it'd be.

Now, I am vehemently against pregaming. Just ask Winston my opinion on it (sorry to put you on blast again lmao ily ). If there is one thing that Tanzania did, it really opened my eyes to cheating, and it is something I heavily dislike. Pregaming... is a bit of a grey area I'll admit and not full out cheating. At the end of the day I still consider in the same vain, and I don't approve of it. Not to mention, I'm pretty well known on the server, and people who played with me know how I can get. It would likely be more harmful to me in-game to try and sleuth out people who are playing, so I'd rather just have my entrance be a surprise.

When I got on, I knew there would be at least one Stranded vet, since... it's me. However, there was supposed to be another vet from Stranded who, as far as I know, is not playing this season for personal reasons, but were originally thought of to be on. I know there are also newbies on the season since Poody said in the Espionage channel on the Discord something about being hyped for a particular character that they cast, and it sounded like it was a new person they cast. Not to mention, the fact Nofo had to advertise Espionage twice on r/survivororg tells me that they were really looking for new people. I don't think this is a fan VS fave format, since Big Brother doesn't really do that like Survivor does. It might be something like how on Tanzania, my season, it was billed as an all newbie season, but technically it had 3 people from Isolated on it: Liz and Kara were from Invasion, and Karishma was from Splintered. Finally, Invasion literally had the twist of Invaders from Stranded come into the game, so I don't think we're seeing a twist similar to that, unless the hosts got really lazy with back to back cloned twists. I don't think I'm the only vet here in this game, and I know it isn't some twisted Austranded kind of closed ID All-Stars game. Seriously, I've had enough of closed ID All-Stars games for one lifetime.

I know it isn't a full vet game because of one of the few pregame knowledge that I have: Aaron's brother. I love Aaron, he's my bro. I got him covered. I was excited for his brother to play Tuamotus, but he was too busy. So when Aaron kept updating me about making his brother apply and then get accepted for Espionage... well, I wasn't going to stop him! I'm super hyped to meet his brother, the man who made Aaron play Tanzania. Now, I don't immediately plan to work with or against him. I'm treating him like everyone else at first. However, if he somehow gets to be a target in the very first round, then I'll save him. I'm not having my bro's bro go out first round, he deserves a nice experience. I won't ally with him just because of his relation to Aaron, but I'll do my best to see if his interests align with mine. Who knows, maybe we will do more than great and be #1 allies even. However, if his brother ever took a shot at me, like he was HOH and nominated me, then all gloves are off. Also Aaron if you're reading this, you know how I get in my confessionals with tearing people up. You've been warned dude

Also anyone in general who decides to read this (mainly talking to other players in the season who look at this post-game) anything I say is just in the moment, in character, and talking about your character. We can all get to know each other and be friendly outside the game, it's really nice. In game, I'm planning to do whatever the fuck it takes to win.

So, for Aaron's brother, I'm going to be on the lookout for someone from Philadelphia who is younger than 26. Once I find that out, I got him. Once I find out it is him, I'm not sure if I am going to expose myself or not. That goes for anyone who knows of Dean. All it takes is for the wrong person to leak that I'm Dean, and anyone can do their research to see that I made it far enough on Tanzania and made quite an impact, especially if we have a Michael on the season who listened to every podcast before playing, and knows of the alarm clock and such. What I'm getting at, is that I will likely not tell him at all that it is in fact, me, Dean.

What have I been doing to prepare for Isolated? In the short term, I did re-listen to some Isolated podcasts. Ever since Excursion, I went on to do my first ever non-Stranded based ORG. Then I got asked back to do an All-Star season for that series. My 3rd ORG ever was that All-Stars one, and I got pretty far for a newbie I'd say, so I'm happy with how I did. Playing more ORGs has made me stronger by identifying what my weak points are, and improving on them while learning to rely on what natural strengths I possess in order to make it further and getting myself into a better position in the game. So, I've been getting more ORG experience. What else have I been up to... I'm on my Evenity shots now! These will help bone growth extremely fast, and in about 10 months or so from now, I should finally be able to look at having hip surgery of some sort. That's exciting personal news! Also, I found love almost 4 months ago, so hooray for a lovely support team. Which, is mutual of course. Everyone, go cheer him on right now! It's F3 for him and he's in the finale and this could be Winston's first ever ORG win!! Go give him some cheers in the lurker server or something. His win for an ORG is long overdue. But I won't get overshadowed. He got 5th place on Invasion, and it's time to show him how you win Isolated.

What are some other vets that might play? Well there might be some Tuamotus/Tanzania/Kuril players, although we JUST had Tuamotus as a half returnee season, so I'm not sure if any would be brought back for Espionage. I initially thought Tommy was a player, since he asked on the main server "where did the lurker server go?" and I thought he was kicked out of it like most people in the casting process are. But today he said encouraging words that indicated to me he was likely on the lurker server. This tells me that he probably isn't playing? But I'm not counting him out fully. So, I'll also be on the lookout for a 38 year old man who talks in a "facebook dad" voice from Seattle and is a newlywed.

I'm hosting Rematch right now with Chelsea, and to hide the fact that I'm playing Isolated, I'm going to have to go overtime and pretend like I'm still super active in Rematch. Thursday is going to be super fucking busy because of that, I can tell. I'm just glad that once the weekend arrives, that should be the end of that.

I've been looking at the Invasion and Splintered boards for ideas on how other Isolated's were hosted. The kinds of challenges they played, the kind of twists they did. It's helping give me more insight on what I could be expecting.

This is already so much that I've written, and yet, I feel like I have forgotten things already that I was wanting to say! I will read over it tomorrow and I'm sure there will be something that I have forgot that I'll wish to add on once I look over this when I wake up. So... at the moment, I really only have two things left to say. One, I can't believe I'm going to complete the trifecta! Stranded, Excursion, Isolated. Love that. There are only a very few handful of people who played both Stranded and Excursion, so I have to assume that I'm the only one who is playing and will be the first ever alumni to compete in all three. That's an accomplishment! Secondly, I just want to give a quick shoutout to Nikki Grahame who passed away recently. She was taken too early from us, and she was my favourite Big Brother player of all time. I miss her so much. I hope to be even half as entertaining as she was, and bring laughter to people in a unique way as she once did. Richard did show care for Nikki in the house, and to me, that's probably the biggest trait I share with him. I love you Nikki

I'm realizing, if there are any Tuamotus people reading this thinking this is long... boy this is going to be a fun season for them. Can't imagine there are much other people who haven't seen a season I was on who aren't Tuamotus, but if so... hey! Hope you enjoy the ride! Because you'll be riding Richard all night long

Oh, I guess one more thing. My strategy? Just talk to everyone at first and be active. You want to be around when the first big alliance is made. If it is more than 4/5 people, then you want to be in on the smaller alliance within that bigger alliance. You don't want to make enemies with the HOH first week. For my alias strategy, I'm probably going to just be me. I won't say I played Stranded before, and I might test the waters with saying this is my first ORG, but other than that, I think most things will be similar to Dean and I won't hide much of my personality. I did this thing in my closed ID All Stars ORG, where I hid all of my Canadianisms (hardest thing for me to do tbh) by not adding random French words in my conversation, and getting rid of the -u in a lot of words like colour or favourite. That way, people wouldn't identify me since I'm also a fervent Canuck lmfao. That, I don't think I'll do here if I'm going to be honest. Also, I'm going to be playing this game single, so it gives me free range to flirt with people if I must (I know you all want those Dean/Ali sext buffs still) and it also hides my alias well since people know Dean is taken. A win-win strategic move if I do say so myself. I'm roughly assuming that a majority of people here are newbies to the Strandedverse, and even if they know that I'm Dean, it probably won't have an impact in the long run. Who knows. Most important thing, of course, is to adapt. I'm going to adapt my strategy once the first round begins and I can get a sense of the twist, the game, and the players.

The fact that Natalie has 11 posts already makes me think she could be an active person this season. The last person I noticed who had a noticeable post count pre-season was Missy

Grace, James and Pete also have a respectable amount now. 11 however is really something. Like, girl chill haha. She actually might be a newbie? Asking a bunch of questions in her confessional. Who knows!

Also, as for other people who are playing... they say go with your gut feeling, and around mid-day today, I got a random feeling that Spencer could be in the cast. This was later further highlighted when he said- well, I can't say because it involves Rematch (can't let a certain host or a few lurkers know) but essentially, he told me something that really made me raise an eyebrow. Like, at best I'll say that it was a scheduling conflict. Anyway, what could Spencer bring here? He played Socotra and Austranded, and also on Excursion, so I bet you they might put him in for the trifecta so that it wouldn't only be one person who gets to have that title. Honestly, I'm not sure if I'd want Spencer to be here or not. I'm gonna say this as lightly as I can since Rematch is still going on, and obviously Espionage is much more important than Rematch, but after seeing how Spencer is on Rematch, I don't know if I could be good with him playing. One thing I can say since it's public knowledge is that he kills it at challenges, so from Rematch, Spencer seems like quite a comp threat (well, at the minimum compared to me and my challenge-impaired Tanz). Not to mention he would have great social strategy. Look at the main server, he's probably the only active person who has never gotten in any fight of any sort and everyone loves him, I don't think I've ever heard a negative opinion about Spencer ever. He's so chill too and will talk to anyone who talks to him. If he's in the game, I can absolutely see him go far for that alone.

I wonder why I'm in a very de-aliasing kind of mood and trying to see if anyone is a vet. Probably projection of my paranoia that other vets who may be in the game will discover me first and use it to my immediate disadvantage.

Ugh, I just want to meet the new people so badly! But still, 19 people though? That's so much to talk with at once, hopefully there is at least SOMETHING that takes a tiny bit of pressure off of that. 7 people I noticed have not made a single post yet. They have all day tomorrow to get online and post, sure, but I'm curious as to how long that will take. Maybe that removes 7 people from the immediate first hour to talk with if it they don't turn up right away? Oh man, that still leaves 12 people to chat with though.

I hate that Glyn and Sheila are among the ones who haven't posted yet. Love those characters. Would hate if those reps were inactives. You know, since Strandedverse seems to be incredible in finding older single moms, I bet you I FUCKING BET YOU that Sheila is the type to be an Ali/Liz/Reem/etc. I would be shocked if that weren't the case.

Right now I'm full of that "less than 24 hours" excited hype. I'll probably go to bed late and wake up early with anticipation. I'm so ready for this, I can't wait!

Out of who is here, the two girls don't pop out for me so far. They're extremely small talk oriented. The guys however (minus Adam) seem like they got SOME form of personality that isn't small talk.

Adam is super gun ho (is it gun ho? Some pronounce it like gung ho, idk what that word is) about this Spy business. Thank god I'm not a spy lol. Unless that is to be revealed later, but I'm sure the spies have their roles.

OKAY! First HOH is done, and James won it. Phew that was tough. I mean, we have two inactives on the tribe so it prob is an easy HOH anyway, but still, it never is easy.

I picked James over Jennie to win because Jennie did not talk to me about the HOH comp at all. Not to mention that me and James seemed to hit it off right away and he's someone I want to be around for the early part of the game at the very least. He promised me safety which... duh, we got inactives.

Something strange happened though during the competition.

James told me that he didn't care whether he won or not. Jennie told me nothing at all, and even afterwards was like "oh yeah I didn't want that at all, thanks for not picking me to get blood on my hands". So then why did Sezer say that both James and Jennie were wanting it? Was it a lie? Was there miscommunication? I think something funny was there.

Also, the fact there are so many alliances already. I don't think they're all real. We definitely have some vets running amock.

It's strange, it is so similar yet so different from Tanzania. For one difference, nobody is staying up late talking. IMs are nowhere close to popping off as I thought. But to be fair, a lot of the main actives seem to be on the other tribe. Oh well, if this first boot goes over well, I'd love an easy first round to get my bearings. I just hope that I'm not too late in making a larger group. So, here is where my head is at with people on the tribe:

Amanada: I don't particularly care for her, she seems kinda... there? I don't get why the Spy chose her to be immune unless the Spy wanted her immunity to be a target of some sorts later on, since I don't see much uniqueness she could offer. Or it could have gotten immunity from her fiance if the Spy is here and knows her. All I know is, Amanda isn't the Spy.

Jennie: I liked her better in Forrest Gump. She's kind of... eh. Better than Amanda though. She isn't a sports person so she can't be bad. Jennie gives me Tanz Chelsea vibes. Kind of awkward, kind of shy, is a prude, etc.

Glyn: Okay this has to be Aaron's brother. He legit TALKS like him!! Seriously, it's like a clone of Aaron almost. I knew it had to be him, but once he said Philadelphia I was like okay this bitch has got to be him. That's an assumption, there could still very well be someone else in the other group who is younger than 26 and from Philly. Glyn I trust, he seems very warm to me and open to working together down the road. I think we still have to build up some more trust before anything can be official, but it's there. If I HAD to say who I trust right now the most, it's Glyn. But I'll explain at the end something else.

Sezer: Poody loves his ESLs and this time we got a Chilean. I can't wait for a pronoun mixup to happen which results in a unanimous vote for him to leave. But I don't want him to go now, I like him a lot! He seems pretty cool and decent. I just want to get him before he goes to anyone else.

James: This is a tricky one. I like him a lot, but I'm getting the vibe that other people like him a lot too. Like, everyone. Which is good so he'll keep me safe, and if I can guarantee that I'm his closest buddy then that's swell, but if not, I don't want to just be another commoner to him. I think a lot of people moving forward will want to work with James, and that was my opinion even before winning the HOH. If I can be among his main core, I think that'll be great. I just have to figure out how to make sure I'm the main one, and that it stays that way. We also had a weird joke thing going on which was funny. Also, James (at the time of typing) wrote "can I ask you something" so Jessica is clearly playing the game. But he then said he wasn't sure if he could ask it, so like... is James a vet I wonder? He popped the question that I'm not sure if it was legal he asked if I played Stranded or Isolated, and I went with a lie and said no I haven't... so, I guess my schtick this season is that I'm fresh to the Strandedverse. Gotta stick with it.

Adam: He really said "WE SHOULD TOTALLY JUST STAB CAESAR" during the HOH comp. You know that creepy stare that Adam gives with those eyes? And seeing that sends shivers down your spine? That's the feeling I get anytime this guy types. What the fuck. He won't shut up about the spy. I thought he was about to burst during the HOH comp. He also likes sports and the draft whatever that is, so Adam is immediately at the bottom for me (notwithstanding inactives). He can go.

Sheila: She wasn't really around much so sadly I didn't get to talk with her. She's above Adam though that's for sure.

Renny: Maybe she didn't find her way in and said IT'S LOCKED because she isn't here :(

Ryan: Giving Elaine a run for her money.

So I'm done the writeups but excuse me what the fuck JAMES DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE THE SPY!? AFTER I TOLD YOU I NEVER PLAYED STRANDED OR ISOLATED BEFORE? If him being a Spy means that he has access to which vet is who or something like that and knows I'm actually Dean, then I'm toast already, wtf. If not, then I'll keep at this. But christ, so... James is the Spy. Not a bad choice viewers. He's spilling all sorts of things. Telling me he chose Amanda since she was popular. WHAT? Either I'm delusional or he is. He says she was good with Glyn and Adam who are "the cool kids" WHAT? Glyn essentially told me he was the opposite (obvy he could be lying) so it could be James playing with me. Or something got lost in translation. It's way too early to deem a group of people "the cool kids" anyway. James has told Amanda and Glyn about him being a Spy, so I'm imagining he wants to work with "the cool kids" as he puts it. Ugh, I want to say yes to Glyn but fuck no to Adam.

Also, the first night of talking on Tanzania was FULL of chat, and I already found myself in a nice solid group, whereas I don't have that exactly this time around. I "feel good" with some people or get along, but no actual official allies or alliances. Maybe I can spin this into being more UTR, unless I am able to find a group soon. James and Glyn I'm feeling great in, so if those two like each other, then maybe we can try something going forward.

I just remember how I felt so close to Aaron, and Tommy, and Jack, and Liz the first night, and here it is just Glyn and James basically who I think I want moving forward. Who knows, we'll see. It's still only just the first night. I just pray that Renny and Ryan don't suddenly show up and fuck plans over for an easy first boot.

All I know is, I NEED a strong group on this side of the house before all 18 of us move in together for the second round.

Even though the above makes it seem like a bit doom and gloom, I promise that it's not. This is fun! James and Glyn I'll be counting on tomorrow. I just hate how most seem to go to bed soon, because if I'm with morning people... my biggest weakness is yet to come.
