Steve Moses Update
I've been abandoned. No responses in days.
Update on My Position in the Game
After a disastrous yet awesome day yesterday, things really seemed to be much calmer and falling into place today and I feel a lot better about my game moving forward.
- First,
Pete leaving is obviously an outside game moment, but inside the game I think it was the better outcome for me. Susie is a somewhat non threat and Pete being gone leaves
Chelsia almost ally-less. She has Spiral and maybe Parker and Aisleyne but they are all in the new GroupChat alliance that she is not in. And she's clearly a much bigger threat than me so even if we become associated over time, I'm going to stay over her if we end up on the block together. And I just love having a supreme challenge threat on my side. It was worth the risk to lock that up.
Secret Alliance Activate!
- Second, I made it a point today to check in with
Aisleyne, Spiral, and Parker during the day. And that super paid off when they were the final three of the challenge. I think I would have possibly been a nom for Aisleyne. Parker and I have no alliance but a good "bro" relationship that probably would keep me off his radar except maybe as a pawn. But Spiral was the key, after Chelsia added us both to that alliance thread, it was pretty clear that we both know we both ratted to Chelsia. Even though I consider mine not really the same thing since Chelsia already knew about the backdoor (according to Jennie), so mine was really more opportunism than being a rat. But anyway, I was like hey Spiral we are both saddled with Chelsia, let's hope that all blows over and keep each other's cover. He seemed on board but Spiral is also one who always seems to be withholding all of his info. A good player but hard to work strategically with. The implication of the talk was, if it gets out that I told Chelsia, I'm dragging you down with me so you better shut the fuck up. I think he got it and when he won tonight he told me Chels and I are safe., which I do think is true unless GroupChat changes his mind.
- Third,
Jennie, Glyn, and Amanda had a little mistrust moment of their own which I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE. Jennie told Amanda about GroupChat (Dean-chard, Glyn, Jennie, Ais, Parker, Spiral). I had encouraged her to do that just to see what would happen. But I told her that it would make Amanda trust her or keep her from finding out elsewhere. Amanda apparently IMMEDIATELY went to Glyn and asked about it. I can only imagine that conversation hahahaha. Like "GLYN YOU MADE AN ALLIANCE AND DIDN'T TELL ME!!! I'M AMANDA YOUR ONE AND ONLY RIDE OR DIE!!!!" Join the club Amanda, he's telling that shit to everyone. (although I do think he's closest to Dean-chard and then Amanda). BTW Glyn was freaking out yesterday that Chelsia called him and Amanda a duo. He said to me "I'm way closer to you and jennie and sezer and richard and blah blah blah." No Glyn, shut up. You are a fucking liar. Glyn has been lying a lot more lately actually. He even totally fucked one up. He told Chelsia that I tried to get her nominated by Sezer, but she was safe that week. Chelsia totally believes Glyn is a liar now. She is telling that to Spiral too I'm sure. Spiral seems cool enough to keep that info on lock. But we will have to see. I may need to check in with Spiral later on to make sure we both are god with Glyn not knowing we are onto him. But anyway, back to the Amanda thing. Glyn then did his accusatory but "I'm not accusing" thing where he asked Jennie if she told Amanda. Jennie freaked out to me in a way that seemed earnest. She is definitely skeezed out by the Amanda-Glyn tie now. I am hoping Jennie is also worried about Dean-chard, but I can't say for sure. If she has a final two with Dean-chard like me, which is a possibility, that could be one thing that trips me up, so I need to keep stressing that Dean-chard=Glyn=Amanda when it comes to information sharing.
- Fourth, along the same lines things are going well with me and
Jennie. I have put in a lot of work building our relationship and talking about Syracuse things since I went to college near there and spent a good chunk of time in Syracuse. I really like that she made an alliance but told me immediately. Is she playing all angles? Maybe, but she really seems to be more honest and forthcoming with me than ever before and probably more than she is with anyone else. And I sort of like not actually being in the GroupChat alliance because it kind of takes the heat off me as any big time player while 4 of the 6 people in the alliance are "technically" in other alliances with me so I can continue to be sort of protected and monitor what is happening through Jennie. This is sort of the position that Dean-chard was in before, which I thought was a great position, sort of on the periphery of all the key alliances. Actually, that's a very Steve Moses position. Maybe I am learning something.
- Fifth I made a
Huasitos sub-deal with Sezer. Basically, that we are the two main huasos and Glyn is number 3 because he's playing other sides too. He seemed to accept it but not be super into it, which kind of confused me. I basically said we just need to watch each other's backs but Glyn is still # 3. I think it's the right play for Sezer even with his view of the current game, but maybe he didn't fully grasp my idea. Sezer was having doubts about Glyn's commitment to huasos which he told to glyn, so I think it was the right time to make this move. And Sezer is definitely right to question Glyn's investment in huasos. Glyn NEVER posts in the group. I was careful to make the pitch from Sezer's perspective, i.e. not involving things like Cardashians or Light Bulb that Sezer wouldn't know about. Just kept it to, "it seems like he's closer to Richard now."
Questions:
I already answered number one.
2. The Couple: I wish they were still here to be a threat. I really have no great guesses who it was. Maybe it was Pete and Jen since she had a lot of updates about his family issue? Maybe it was Natalie and someone still in the game? idk. Still a little suspicious of Susie on this issue since she literally will not say where she's from or her age and will ignore you when you ask. Although she did tell me she is a guy?
3. HOH: The comp was good, I just totally fucked it up. I literally suck at these comps. What didn't occur to me was that everyone playing by round 2 was basically a group B person. So we needed to answer as them. They don't know Sheila that well so picking her was dumb. None of the answers were really meaningful beyond the fact that Group B was pretty good at knowing what they would say. Also, Parker thought there were only 70 posts in the DR LOL. Dena-chard has double that alone! Glyn Dean-chard and I laughed about that. I try to keep it light and fun with Dean-chard since I know we don't talk much game and it's kind of hard for me to do that when he's really more with Glyn and it's clear. But our personal relationship is good. I kind of have a sense we would be friends outside of this.
My goal initially was to tell everyone I think Spiral should nominate Susie. it's a super easy pitch since she nominated him and gives me a clear an uncontroversial opinion that I can widely share. Jennie told me Spiral is doing Adam and Sheila, which is not great but rather them that me or Sezer. Spiral asked me about Adam after that, so I already knew he was going up. I said I like Adam personally but we don't have a tight alliance (ruh roh Baby Wipes) and I'm good with whatever Spiral wants. Adam is probably toast. But he's also closer to Glyn than me so it's an acceptable loss even if he has a final two with me that I don't put much weight into. Maybe I'd rather have Adam stay than Sheila but I'm not super hung up on it.
Shahbaz came up with a strategy to save Adam (lol) and it's actually kind of clever if totally pointless. We all convince chelsia she is the target so she plays veto and wins, then Shah can pull down Adam and someone else goes up. But like, why does that matter, he'll just put up Sezer or something. Whatever Shah. I told Chelsia this plan and she got all confused and aggressive towards me. But eventually I think she calmed down and promised not to tell Shah about me tipping her off. I then spent a lot of time telling Clels personal stories including the Steve Moses connection to really lock in her trust for me.
Also, the Tuba story is true, if any of you saw that. I used to bring a marching band tuba to raves and girls would literally come up to me and talk to me and ask to play the tuba. It's the best flirting technique I've ever had.
